Personal History:

Shane Grant had the typical bad boy route. He didn't have much in the family except for a younger sister somewhere out there. Lost in the system after their father who was an alcoholic came home and found their mother who was a heavy drug addict turning tricks in their own bedroom. Their father shot and killed both his wife and her lover before he turned the gun on himself.

Without any other family out there Shane and Rorie were tossed into the system. Being a few years a part they were separated and sent to different families. Shane hasn't seen Rorie since he was ten. The foster families? They weren't any better then his mother and father had been. Shane fell into the bad crowd rather quickly. For the first few years it was always the same time trouble maker bullshit. When he turned fifteen though it turned into breaking and entering, theft and criminal damage to property. Smoking pot and drinking all the time. School? Fuck that. He started doing some look out and other small time gigs for the local outlaw motorcycle club...the Pale Riders.

When Shane was eighteen he prospected for the Pale Riders. For the next year he ate shit to earn his Patch. During that time he made sure that the brothers could trust Shane Grant. He robbed, stole, sold drugs and guns, and beat for the Club. Being a prospect only lasted eleven months. He proved his worth. Like the tattoo he had over the top of his chest. Strength through Loyalty. He was Patched and continued to hit the ground running.

Some brothers could say that they'd did time for the Club taking some rap for another brother who he could stay on the streets. Maybe that brother had family or something. Not Shane though. He would never let another brother go down for his shit. He had a run in with the cops and he went down hard. He did it all for the Club and sure as fuck didn't regret a second of it. When the gavel came down, he was found guilty and sentenced to ten years in a federal pen.

It's been a decade and now at thirty two Shane Grant was coming back home to Harlan. Coming back home to the Club. To his brothers. He had a lot of catching up to do.
