Personal History:

Tennessee Colin Piper, or TC to her friends, was born and raised in Harlan. She and her sisters were raised by her maternal grandparents, Vincent and Iris Piper, the owners of VIP Diner. Growing up, TC was the studious one, wanting to carve out a better life for herself. Being the wild Mary Louise's daughter came with some stigma. She was expected to be wild and loose, a reputation her sisters reveled in, but she put her nose to the grindstone and kept out of trouble and even made it college, graduating with a BS in Business Management and Accounting.  She had almost made it out of the South for good when Vincent had a major stroke. She came home, stepping into Vincent's shoes, running the Diner and trying to keep her family together.
